PepsiCo

It’s been 42 years that Pepsi has been around. If we take a trip down memory lane, then although Pepsi Cola Company was founded in 1898, it only became PepsiCo when it merged with Frito Lay in 1965. Here’s a list of the others who lead from the top. Herman W Lay served as PepsiCo’s first chairman between 1965 and 1971, Donald Kendall between 1971 and 1986, Wayne D Calloway between 1986 and 1996, Roger A Enrico between 1996 and 2001, and then Reinemund took over in 2001. In the statement released by Pepsi, Nooyi said: “PepsiCo is on a sound strategic course with solid momentum thanks to Steve’s (Reinemund) leadership, and along with every Pepsi- Co associate, I’m looking forward to building on the lasting legacy credited to him, Roger, Wayne, Don, & Herman.”

But AT&T finally managed to get through the bush of objections (offering many concessions). And today the only question remains – has it become unbeatable? Well, one cannot afford to overlook the presence of Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Comm. and EarthLink. Between themselves, internet service providers, and wireless companies, BellSouth has lost 3.6 million access lines over the past half decade.
